So we all know that port area is good, but the more port area the bigger the box has to be. So let's say the subwoofer you are using calls for 3 cubes of box volume and let's say we build two boxes boxes for said subwwofer. The first is 3 cubes and 60inches of port area and the other box is 6 cubes 120 of port area. Would a person b e better off going with the more port area or going with what the sub calls for, for spl?
